COVID-19, Chiropractic and our practice.

Dear Valued Patients:

First and foremost, please remember that Chiropractic does much more than relieve neck and back pain! Ultimately, it allows us to remove interference in your nervous system and therefore optimize health, giving your immune system a much needed “boost”. (Chiropractic and early 1900’s Influenza Pandemic: https://allamericanhealthcare.net/how-can-chiropractic-car…/ )

The International Chiropractors Association has issued a press release reaffirming chiropractic as an essential healthcare service. “Chiropractic services represent an essential and necessary component of the health care program of millions of patients of all ages and all walks of life in the US and worldwide. Timely and consistent access to chiropractic care is essential to the maintenance of the health and well-being of this patient population particularly during times of stress.”

We understand that these are very uncertain times with news of the COVID-19 virus. We’d like to take this opportunity to reassure you of the additional steps we are taking to protect your health.

Our incredible staff have diligently increased the sanitizing frequency of all surfaces and adjusting tables, as well as our deep cleaning schedule. We have temporarily removed magazines from the waiting room in order to reduce the spread of germs. Tissues are available throughout the office. Please dispose of immediately and wash your hands.
Our schedule, including walk-in times will remain the same. Per the Governor’s executive order regarding health care facilities, only patients receiving care and staff will be allowed in the building. Required caregivers or parents of patients are the exception.

In addition, if you are not comfortable waiting in the reception area for your turn, you may call (843-900-7006) when you arrive and our staff will check you in. Please give them your cell phone number and you will be called when a room is available for you.

If you are experiencing symptoms of a respiratory infection, such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat and/or have had contact in the last 14 days with someone with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19, we kindly ask that you stay home and rest.

We at Swain Family Chiropractic are committed to providing you the best care possible in a safe and clean environment. We will continue to update you via email and our Facebook page as the Governor continues to revise guidelines for healthcare facilities. Remember to get plenty of rest, stay active, eat well, practice good hygiene and get adjusted!

Yours in Health,

Dr. Ron Swain, Dr. Chris Fagerstrom and Staff
